In an apparent suicide blast, the bomber himself was killed in fields near Choora police station in Mardan district prior to Friday prayer. Regional Police Officer (RPO), Muhammad Ali Khan during his visit to the site of the blast near police station Choora said not someone else but the suicide bomber was killed in the blast as his explosive-laden waist blew up before he could reach the target. He said police have found human body parts scattered in the fields. The RPO said further details regarding the blast were being collected adding that investigation on scientific lines would be carried out ascertain the identity of the suicide bomber, his motive and intended target. He said thankfully no other causality was reported in the blast. The security in Mardan Region, he added has been further beefed up.
